Welcome to this amazing trip!

This is one of the most picturesque circuits. It is located in the End of the World Station, 8 km away from Ushuaia, towards the Tierra del Fuego National Park. There are daily tours that leave at 10 a.m., 12.30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The round trip lasts almost two hours. This tour is a like a travel in time. It is an ancient steam train, which goes along part of the original embankment that used to transport prisoners to the old prison, which stopped operating in 1947.

The activity of the prisoners consisted of working with timber logs, and put them together to be transported on the train. This merchandise was used to heat up more than 120 stoves in the Prison, and bring to life the power station the supplied power to the prison and the town.

At present, this is only a touristic train. An original locomotive and wagon can be seen at the entrance of the Prison Museum.
