One of the pioneering establishments in the development of winemaking in Córdoba is La Caroyense winery.

Located in the heart of Colonia Caroya, it is one of the largest and oldest winemaking spaces in the province. At the same time, it is one of the most awarded for the quality of its products, both nationally and internationally.

Its main facade stands out with its structure and architecture similar to the Cathedral Church of the Italian city of Udine. You start by visiting all its facilities, and then you will be able to taste the different varieties of wines that are produced entirely at the winery.

Inside, regional wines, fine varietals, bivarietals, grappa and grapes in grappa are obtained. One of its top products is Champagne; the first one made in Córdoba. Outstanding and not to be missed, would be the sparkling wine Nature and Extra Brut.  These wines have the certification of Colonia Caroya.

Another stop you should not miss is the Terra Camiare winery, also located in Colonia Caroya.

Almost 100 years old, this winery was begun by the Friulian immigrants from Italy, who brought their vast wine and food culture to the region.

It is distinguished for producing wines using the best grapes from different productive areas of the province, such as Colonia Caroya, Quilino, Cruz del Eje, Valle de Calamuchita and Valle de Traslasierra.

Its own vineyards (with nine hectares in Colonia Caroya and another nine in Quilino) produce varietals such as Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ancellotta, Viognier, Chardonnay, Torrontés, Tannat and the regional Isabela, unique in the country.

In the rural area of Colonia Caroya there is a farm open to the public. About 45 kilometers away from the City of Córdoba, Chacra de Luna is an undertaking dedicated to agrotourism; a dynamic experience that combines leisure, education, culture and tourism.  This is a family initiative that was originally founded in 1892.

In a nine-hectare venue, visitors may tour around a farm, an orchard, a "Blacksmith - Workshop" museum and other facilities associated with rural life. Undoubtedly, one of the most visited corners is its vineyard.

Its highlights are 2017 Malbec, 2018 Blend Malbec - Cabernet Sauvignon and 2017 Chardonnay.

In addition, wine tastings and snacks are enjoyed to close the tour. You can also buy liquors, grappa, preserves and jams, sausages and pickles among other products.
