A blend of joy

A blend of joy

Let's talk about the new Terra Camiare awards.

May 31, 2019

Terra Camiare winery, located in the town of Colonia Caroya, received a high score from the American critic James Suckling in two of its wines: Socavones Reserva Ovum 2017 (92 points) and Socavones Reserva White Blend (93 points), and returned to position Córdoba internationally with its products.

Colonia Caroya -

Terra Camiare is the first winery that produces its wines with the best grapes from the different productive areas of the province, such as Colonia Caroya, Quilino, Cruz del Eje, Valle de Calamuchita and Valle de Traslasierra. Thus, it takes advantage of the mixture of microclimates and diverse terroirs to produce wines that represent not only the nature of Córdoba but also its resources, its work and its people.

In its own vineyards (nine hectares in Colonia Caroya and nine in Quilino), this winery grows varietals such as Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ancellotta, Viognier, Chardonnay, Torrontés, Tannat and the regional isabella, unique in the country.

The winery has a total capacity of approximately 600 thousand liters for vines, for the elaboration, aging, fractioning and stowing of wines. In addition, it has the best technology in equipment: it has a mixed system of stainless steel tanks, material pools, oak barrels and ovoid cement vessels.

Terra Camiare represents the fusion of cultures, where the Jesuit contribution to the history of the wine of Argentina takes center stage with its natural riches and the typical of the town.

In this framework, the project not only focuses on the wine production area, but also involves various typical activities of the area such as tourism (guided tours) and soon gastronomy (open a restaurant and cooks to the fires between the vineyards ), with a great cultural and historical value.
