Couples and fun! - Cordoba tour

Hamish Bell's group!

October 25, 2019

Cordoba, Argentina has been the place chosen by thousands of tourists because of its amount of birds and the many charming spots to visit. Hamish Bell accompanied by his wife and a couple who are their friends organized a hunting trip to the centre of Argentina. What differentiates any hunting trip to this, is the fact that wives are invited and welcome to join the hunting and other activities to make their trip even more fun.

After hunting with Pointer staff who give their best in the field, the couples wanted to know the neighbouring towns and the city of Cordoba. The tour started in Terra Camiare winery where a nice local lady, Virginia, showed us the vineyard, winery and bottling building. The visit could not be in a different way, we tried the reserve line and even the newer ones. Some liked the malbec more; others, the white wine but they were all good. Which was supposed to last an hour visit, took us longer since we have a good time talking and laughing. It was now time to drive to the city. The journey became pleasant for the views and the our chats.

I recommended having lunch in a warm and sophisticated restaurant, Alcorta in order to see the river which closes the city. That river called Suquía is hold by a canal built for the city not to flood. The meal was enjoyed with a fine malbec wine from Mendoza.

We visited then the San Martin Square where the Cathedral surprised them by its beauty. Around this famous square, there are buildings constructed by Jesuits in the 16th and 17th century. Tourists who enjoy architecture will love Cordoba that mixes a cosmopolitan city with antique buildings.

Shopping and women go hand by hand so the ladies of the group took a few minutes to buy Argentinian clothing. Leather stuff and souverings were their next stop.

To end the tour, we visited the Capuccinos church built between 1927-1933 by Augusto Ferrari and Buen Pastor ex women prison and now cultural center. We said goodbye after having an icecream with Marcos and Leo, our drivers.

Looking forward to seeing you again,
