History of Cacheuta Hot Springs

The history of Cacheuta Hot Springs dates back to the pre-Columbian era, when the Huarpe people used the springs for their healing and relaxation properties. The Spanish conquistadors later discovered the springs in the 16th century and built a small bathhouse on the site. In the 19th century, Cacheuta became a popular resort destination for wealthy Argentines and Europeans. However, the resort was destroyed by a flood in 1934.
