The main tourist destinations in Santa Cruz were chosen based on the comments made by Argentine travelers on Booking.com.

Booking.com recognized El Chaltén as the most hospitable destination in the country, and El Calafate in second place on the list. The recognition is based on the comments made by Argentine travelers, within the framework of their 2021 edition awards.

Year after year, based on millions of guest reviews, Booking.com recognizes contributors from around the world in its Traveler Review Awards, recognizing contributors from 220 countries and territories who have made community experiences were unforgettable, both when booking accommodation, as a car or an airport taxi.

To receive an award, accommodations and rental car pick-up points had to have an average review score equal to or greater than 8.0 (out of 10), based on at least 3 and 5 reviews respectively

Only customers who have stayed in an accommodation, have rented a car or have taken a taxi can leave a comment about their experience on Booking.com.

As the comments are not edited or corrected, the users of the page can take them as an authentic reference to the experience of a real traveler when staying in an accommodation or when using the ground transportation service offered by the partners of Booking.com.

The 10 most hospitable destinations in Argentina

Based on the list of lodging partners in Argentina awarded by the Traveler Review Awards 2021, Booking.com identified the Argentine destinations with the highest percentage of winners for their good services offered to guests, in which the travel community will to be able to enjoy excellent hospitality and friendliness. They are:

It is the second time that El Chaltén has received this recognition. In the 2019 edition of the Traveler Review Awards, in addition to being the most hospitable destination in the country, it was ranked among the 10 most hospitable destinations in the world; while in the 2020 edition of the awards it obtained the second place among the most hospitable destinations in the country. An ideal place to enjoy nature and landscapes, take walks in the mountains and hiking.

In this edition, the worldwide recognition went to the province of Chubut, chosen within the 10 most hospitable regions, states or provinces worldwide together with: Taitung Count (Taiwan), Prešovský kraj (Slovakia), Oberösterreich (Austria) , Tasmania (Australia), Canterbury (New Zealand), Nova Scotia (Canada), O'Higgins (Chile), Iowa (United States) and Minas Gerais (Brazil)
